If you are learning to market your network marketing business online, it is very important that you know how to create backlinks to your website. In this post, I will be sharing 5 tips on how to create backlinks that will help you get your page ranking on the first page of Google.

How To Create BackLinks To Your Website…

Having a website that has fulfilled all the on-page SEO criteria will not guarantee you will be ranked on the first page of Google, therefore you need to implement some off-page SEO strategies which include backlinking.

Creating backlinks are not that difficult and you can create them by commenting on blogs and leaving your URL in the comment fields. You may also want to get into forums and post there, where you leave your links in the signature portion. The easiest way on how to createbacklinks to your website is to post on social media such as your Facebook page, Twitter or even the Better Networker page!

Now let’s on to the more crucial part of this blog post and how to create backlinks to your website…

Tips On How To Create Backlinks To Your Website.

How To Create BacklinksTip #1 – Have backlinks from a range of sources. It is very important that you have a variety of sources which your backlinks come from. This means creating backlinks from videos, audio, pdfs, powerpoint presentations etc. All you need to do is repurpose and repackage your content and post them to all the different areas online and point them back to your website. This will not only allow your article to be noticed by more people, it will also help you to get more visitors and in turn, more leads for your network marketing business.

Tip #2 – Get backlinks from sites that have higher Page Ranks (PR). If you are unsure on how to check the PR for a certain website, you may wish to download this free plugin for Firefox, which will show you the PR every time you land on a page. This plugin will also provide you with many other benefits, so make sure you check out their page.

Tip #3 – Get backlinks from .edu and .gov sites. Such sites are seen as high priority in the eyes of Google. For example, assuming that 2 websites have the same page rank but one is a .com and the other is either a .edu site or a .gov site. Google will place more importance for a backlink from such sites as compared to a .com. You can get such links by either looking for pages like that, or you may want to go to fiverr.com and pay for that service to be done for you.

Tip #4 – Spy on your competition. If you want to know how to create backlinks to your website, you need to be able to spy on your competition. Find out what sites your competition are getting backlinks from and create backlinks from those pages too. All you have to do is go to the Yahoo Site Explorer Majestic SEO and type in the exact URL of the site you want to spy on and you will find out which sites your competition are getting links from.

Tip #5 – Backlink sites that link to you. This will create a backlink pyramid for you andyour sites. This technique will help your primary backlinks become more “important” and this in turn, will give your site more link juice when they point to your website. In addition, this will also give the opportunity for your primary backlinks to get ranked on Google.

i started this website a few days back. Was asking about how to create a backlink to my website, my friend sent me your sites link…i think this info is very useful for a newbie like me..
So like you said i should leave a url of my site on some site or blog..so let me begin it with yours.. :-) thanks for the info anyways.

    • Hey Vivek,

I removed the link that you placed at the bottom of your comment. You don’t need to leave the URL behind because most sites will already ask you for your website URL and this will give you a nice backlink. That’s why I am using the commentluv plugin which will give a backlink to whoever leaves a comment on my page and puts in their URL in the form. Glad I was able to help you. :)

I’ve just started my own website few weeks ago. And to be honest, I’m still struggling to build backlinks to my website.

Previously, I made website using free blog, and I got a lot of backlink. But, after I move website to self-hosted, the backlink is really low. So, thank you for the tips. I’ll try it, and I hope I’ll get results.

Hi Darren, thanks for the great info. I had read a few posts about backlinks but yours has been the only one that went into enough detail to understand. I plan to try a few of these and see how it goes.

    Thanks again.

Great information about backlinks. I didn’t know about the .edu or the .gov. Gonna look into these!! Thank you!!

    • Yes.. However, these sites are getting harder to find or get backlinks from.

What you want are sites that are relevant to your niche. So if you are in the IM niche for example, it may be more difficult to find real .edu or .gov sites that share information about IM regularly. I own my own .edu blog, but the terms and conditions state that I can only post educational-related material.. so it’s a tricky situation. ;)

Glad you found the post useful Alan! Do drop by often!

    Hey , darren.
    Thanks for the tips.
I mainly focus on forum posting and guest posting.
Is this things can ever be caught by google panda?
Shoul i worry about that or keep doing the same thing?

    • Guest postings are actually a very good way of getting healthy, link juice. You get exposure to the blogs you post on! I would say continue with the guest postings.

If you are doing forum postings, your backlinks might be limited. Google loves to see you have a variety of backlinks, which means the more domains you get links from, the better. However, if you are consistently providing good information in the forum, people will click on your site (through your signature I assume). If so, just keep doing what you are dong.

You are definitely safe from being penalized from google’s panda updates! :)
