One of the skills that you will eventually have to pick up if you want to become an MLM recruiting expert, is the ability to qualify your leads for network marketing.
I have always shared that it is important you create a relationship with the people you connect with, follow-up with them and maintain a good posture.
So How Do You Qualify Leads For Network Marketing?
One of my previous posts talked about the “3 reasons why you should not join the top MLM leaders“. I emphasized that they understand the importance of their time and how to leverage it.
In Todd Falcone’s “Insider Secrets To Recruiting Professionals 2.0” program, he shares one thing that can easily help you to qualify your leads for network marketing.
This will help you to differentiate the people who are serious, and those who are tire kickers.
It will show you who are the ones who say what they will do, and those that do not.
The answer is very simple.
“Actions speak louder than words.”
If you can understand the meaning of this sentence, then you can just as easily be able to qualify the leads that you connect with.
Some Leads For Network Marketing Just Want To Make You Happy
They do not want to offend anyone.
So, when you get a prospect to watch a business opportunity video, some of these people will end up telling you that they will watch it.
And they NEVER do.
However, just because somebody does not watch the video, it does not mean they are not serious.
Huh? What did you just say?
Yes, it does not mean they are not serious about what you shared with them.
Life gets in the way of peoples’ schedules and they may have genuinely had something come up for them. Your job is then to find out if they were making up excuses, or something came up.
You can only find out if someone is serious about the business opportunity after a couple of follow-up calls.
Now, let’s move on.
Assuming you are making your first follow-up call and they had yet to watch the materials you sent them. You want to get them to commit to watching the video and schedule a follow-up appoint with your leads for network marketing.
They will most likely say yes.
Then get them to commit to when they can watch the video and ask them once again.
“If I call you back on Thursday at X pm, can you assure me that you would have watched the presentation?”
Let’s assume that they do say yes and you hang up.
The Second Follow-Up With Your Leads For Network Marketing
By the second follow-up with your leads for network marketing, you would most likely be able to have a feel of who is serious, and who is not.
If they have watched the presentation, you can proceed to finding out if the business opportunity is for them or not.
On the other hand, if they have not, then it is time for you to be a little more assertive and not let them waste your time.
Remember, that you need to maintain your posture with your leads.
Todd goes further and says that some of these leads for network marketing will think that you are psycho if you do so!
So don’t let someone think you are psycho by constantly bugging them and asking if they have watched the presentation.
Your time is precious, so don’t waste it by chasing people who are most likely never going to be serious about network marketing.
So how do you become more assertive?
You could ask them questions like this.
“Are you really serious about looking for an extra source of income outside of what you are currently doing, or are you just saying that to please me? I am not going to be offended if you are not interested in taking a look.”
And most of the time, the tire-kickers are going to tell you that they were never interested in taking a look at what you have for them.
Of course, you could follow up with a prospect a couple of times.
However, do not approach them after that as it would be a waste of your time. Even if they joined the business, they would most likely never do anything about it.
What other ways do you think you could qualify leads for network marketing? I would love to hear your thoughts.
