For example, you want to rank for the keyword “Network marketing success”, then it would be best if you were able to purchase a domain with the name www.networkmarketingsuccess.com. With that being said, most highly competitive keywords would have already been bought.

The great thing about having your own blog and having the settings set right will allow the individual post pages to have the keyword in the URL if you set it as part of your title text. Make sure that your posts have a density of 1 – 2%, which means it appears once every 100 words that you have on your page.

SEO Linkbuilding Basics – Off Page SEO

Here comes the most exciting part of the SEO linkbuilding – Off Page SEO. It basically means the backlinks that you are driving to your page that you want to rank for a particular keyword. There are many sorts of backlinks out there so you want to be able to understand them to improve your SEO linkbuilding efforts. Caution: You want to make sure that the SEO linkbuilding strategies are as natural as possible in the eyes of Google, especially when you are starting to blog. Otherwise, you may get sandboxed, and that means your site will not be able to get indexed on the search engines.

(1) Dofollow / Nofollow links – Dofollow links score you more points when the spiders track a certain backlink pointing back to your site. However, it does not mean that Nofollow links are not going to give you any credit. It is just not as much as a DoFollow Link.

(2) Page Rank – Sites with higher page ranks with backlinks pointing back to your site will once again allow you to attain more credibility with Google. A site of a PR 10 is much better than a PR 9 and so on. However, Google does not update Page Ranks as often so this may not be a very reliable source for creating great backlinks.

(3) Type Of Site – There are mainly 3 types of sites – .edu sites, .gov sites and the rest consisting of .com and .net etc. The best sites to get backlinks from if possible are from .edu and .gov sites. The reason these sites are more credible in the eyes of Google is due to the fact that these are Government and Educational institution sites. SEO Linkbuilding Precautions

With that being said, the best sites are definitely edu or gov sites that have not only high page ranks, but allow you to get a DoFollow link from them. However, remember that you need to be as natural as possible which means you want a variety of links that may have Nofollow links, low page ranks and also .com sites as these are generally more common. Just make sure to practice natural and proper SEO linkbuilding strategies for your first couple of months before you start implementing other strategies such as article spinning, to help your site gain more credibility with Google.
